AWARDS:
The Little Prince award for the best performance as a whole goes to The Writer performed by the Ulrike Quade Company of the Netherlands. It is a story about the depressing existence of a human being and artist, boasting a unique theatrical manuscript. It uses a number of stage tools where the puppet is the main element of visual and spoken narration.
The originality award goes to The Catastrophic Courtship of Don Cristobal staged by the Cie Pelele company of France. This is an excellent accomplishment aided by classic tools of the puppet theatre, while at the same time, it offers original options of interpretation and a contemporary topic and form.
The collective acting achievement award goes to Goldilocks by Drak Theatre of the Czech Republic. This exceptional group of six actors animates, entertains and enchants the audience using simple means of theatre and acting expression, and exploring the theatre within the theatre.
The special jury award goes to The Bremen Musicians by the Ljubljana Puppet Theatre of Slovenia. The performance excels in an intriguing staging and original form of contact with young audiences. The energy, originality and joy of this performance contribute greatly to its quality.
The audience award goes to The Frog by Teatro Gioco Vity of Italy.
